Melanie Sykes has said she's now about 'two-thirds bald' as she gave a health update.
The former TV presenter, known for Today with Des and Mel and Going Out with Alan Carr, took to social media to announce she was starting up YouTube content again and let people know how she was doing, though the news was unfortunate as she explained she was 'not well'.
She said: "I've not been on for ages. I'm not well, as you know, I’ve been ill all year, I've got an autoimmune condition, I am losing my hair, I keep having crazy inflammation all over and I am working on healing.
"In the last three months, I've done a meditation teacher training course. I was too ill to finish it, like literally the last two days of it I couldn’t do."

Sykes, who appeared in the video with a hat on, explained that she'd 'mostly been living a very, very spiritual existence' as she told her followers about the benefits of meditation.

Sykes reassured her followers that she'd been 'logging it, filming it and writing about it' for her YouTube channel and that despite her health woes she had spent her time 'busy studying and it's been such a wonderful time for me'.
However, she also said she was 'in so much pain' as in her video she explained 'my eyes are just so bad but I wanted to say hello'.
The former TV presenter told people if they watched her videos 'you'll see I'm like two-thirds bald' and added 'thank God I can laugh' about what had been going on.

In April, the 55-year-old revealed on Instagram she has 'experiencing alopecia and heart issues due to all that has happened over the last few months' saying she was suffering from 'Ptsd, shock, mistreatment and malpractice'.
On her YouTube channel around the same time, she shared she'd 'probably got half my hair at the moment', while also sharing that she'd been diagnosed with autism and ADHD.

She added that she'd developed an irregular heartbeat and her hair loss had been 'rapid' after the press had been 'harassing' her over allegations made against TV chef Gino D'Acampo, who she starred alongside on Let's Do Lunch with Gino and Mel.
She'd previously said on her YouTube channel: "I remember once when Gino said to me he can just go up to the powers that be on knock on the door and go in, he doesn't need a meeting. He was quite pleased with himself that he could do that."

D'Acampo has denied all allegations against him.
"I went into the New Year with so much energy. I’ve slowed things down because I got a heart problem, which I developed during the whole Gino D’Acampo bulls**t that happened in the news,” she said.
"And suddenly, the stress levels in my life shot up because I left that industry years ago but it won’t leave me alone."
Sykes had also previously said that her decision to step away from TV came in 2021 after going on Celebrity MasterChef.

In her 2023 autobiography Illuminated: Autism & All The Things I’ve Left Unsaid she wrote that there had been some 'jaw-dropping' unprofessional behaviour.
She remembered Gregg Wallace telling her that being on the show 'would do a lot for you' but she was just thinking she was 'done' with TV.
