Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae's baby name revealed at Eddie Hall fight

As Tommy Fury takes on Eddie Hall tonight (13 June) it’s fair to say there are people tuning in for something other than the boxing.

That’s as Molly-Mae Hague teased to her over two million subscribers that she might use her boyfriend’s shorts to announce their new baby’s name.

The pair welcomed their second child recently, a little brother to their three-year-old daughter Bambi.

And as Fury took to the ring, it seems his name has been announced as Midas.

The name was emblazoned on his jacket as he headed into the ring to take on Hall, and then removed the jacket to reveal the name stitched on the waistband of his shorts.

Explaining this unique way of sharing the news, Molly-Mae said in one of her YouTube vlogs: “I've been designing Tommy's shorts for his fight, and I'm thinking about potentially putting I don't know if we're going like I don't [because] I don’t know what the timeline's going to be.”

It turns out the influencer’s due date had originally been the day of Fury’s fight with Hall but he was delivered a little earlier.

“I'm thinking, do I put the name of baby number two on his fight shorts? Because he always has Bambi's name on his fight shorts, and I don't want to leave the second baby off,” she added.

“But also maybe that's how we announce the name is on his fight shorts. That would actually be quite cool.”

Pretty much since the moment Molly-Mae announced she was pregnant with their second child there has been speculation over just what name the couple might choose.

And with ‘Bambi’ having divided fans when their daughter was born, the mum had warned it could be an ‘unusual’ choice.

Back in March, she said the pair were ‘pretty set’ on the name as she added: “Also just can’t wait for everyone to hate it, obviously it’s a different name – we were never going to call our baby just an ordinary name, that was never going to happen.”

Molly-Mae even said she’d ‘only ever heard of one other baby’ with this name as she jokingly pre-empted that people will ‘literally probably dislike it’.

“But yeah, it was never gonna be an ordinary name guys, let’s be honest,” she added.
