MrBeast has officially tied the knot with long-time girlfriend

MrBeast has married his long-time partner Thea Booysen.

The 28-year-old YouTuber - real name Jimmy Donaldson - tied the knot at an ‘intimate’ ceremony at Richard Branson’s Necker Island surrounded by around 70 friends and family.

According to PEOPLE, the wedding event took place over an entire week on the private island resort, with the official ceremony plus plenty of fun activities for guests to enjoy.

Sharing some stunning snaps from the day onto Instagram, Donaldson wrote: “I found MrsBeast ❤️❤️❤️and it was the best day of my life.”

Booysen, also 28, wore a custom-made Nicole + Felicia Couture gown, while her new husband wore a flashy tux from Ralph Lauren.

The newlyweds had their first dance to Die with a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, while guests tucked into an ‘incredible’ spread including sushi, Wagyu beef and fish.

Booysen said their big day was ‘heaven’ and that it was a rare chance to be around all of their family and friends.

Donaldson first met Booysen in 2022 when he was in South Africa, where she is from.

Much like her new husband, Booysen is a content creator, working as an online gamer and e-sports commentator. She is also an author and has degrees in law, psychology and neuroscience.

According to Booysen, they met after a mutual friend invited her to dinner with Donaldson.

Speaking to PEOPLE, she revealed: “When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was.

“I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy. He wasn’t sitting there with an ego.”

Donaldson told the publication that they immediately hit it off, so after the dinner he sent her a DM and the pair began talking.

Not long after that, the YouTuber flew back out to South Africa for the day to see Booysen again.

“He was adamant he wanted to come visit again and I was keen. I wanted to get to know him better,” she said on the Wide Awake Podcast.

They went public with their relationship in April 2022 and were initially long-distance but have since moved in together, with Booysen explaining that due to her visa she spends around half a year in the US and the other half in South Africa.

After a couple of years of dating, the pair got engaged on Christmas Day in 2024 with Donaldson planning a sweet surprise proposal.

“I intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the real gift — with the ring inside — to her. And then I went down on a knee and proposed,” he shared.

Despite the engagement being a surprise, Booysen said that the couple had always had marriage as the end goal.

“It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality,” she said.

“Ever since we started dating we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married.

“In my mind, we’re already married. We’re already on the same page. We talk about children, how we’re going to live together when we’re 70 years old … this was just another step in the process.”
