Mickey Gooch was on stage in front of a live audience when parts of Rebel Wilson's autobiography were read out to him, specifically the parts where she writes about losing her virginity to him.
When she released her book Rebel Rising a couple of years ago she explained that she was 35 when she lost her virginity, having previously told friends she'd first had sex at 23 'to just get it over with'.
Wanting to reassure readers 'not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager', she wrote that her first time was with Gooch and had pretty much nothing but good things to say about the encounter.
Standing on a Broadway stage in front of a live audience for the Celebrity Autobiography sketch show where they do live performances of people's memoirs, Gooch had Kathy Griffin stood right next to him reciting passages from Rebel Rising.

"Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes, I lost my virginity to you," Griffin read to Gooch, before throwing in, "And a great shag you were."

He punched the air to hear that, and made a series of jokes as the autobiography was read out to him.
In the book Wilson explained how at the time she thought 'as a big girl, no one would ever truly find me sexually attractive', and learning her mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer motivated her to go out and get some.
"Life IS short. I didn’t want to live my life without experiencing sex. Experiencing love. I Just put it out into the universe that I was finally ready. I was going to feel the fear and just do it,” Wilson wrote, and was recited to her former lover in front of a live audience.
“I was going to slut it up with the next guy that came along – who also seemed like a suitable marriage candidate.”
The book described how they were set up by Wilson's Pitch Perfect co-star Hana Mae Lee, how she'd found him 'sexy' right from the start as well as 'very sexy' when he cooked barbecue food for her, and a month into them dating they'd had sex while she was filming How To Be Single In New York.

"And then, you guys, it just happened. I finally had sex. I go to the bathroom, I high-five myself. I'm so happy I finally had sex," Wilson had written and Griffin recounted to the man she'd had sex with.
"And with somebody I really like and really feel safe with at the lovely Greenwich Hotel. Oh, and fun fact, Mickey - this hotel is actually owned by Robert De Niro."
The man himself said it 'was a pretty surreal way to make my Broadway debut', joking that he 'popped his Broadway cherry, literally'.
While their relationship ended after six months they remained on good terms, with Gooch saying she was 'the most beautiful girl I know'.
