Police in Australia have announced that a probe into the allegations made against Katy Perry by actress Ruby Rose is underway.
Rose announced she had 'finalised all of her reports' with authorities on Tuesday (14 April), days after she publicly accused the pop star of sexual assault.
Cops in Victoria have now confirmed that detectives are 'investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010'.

Further details about the alleged incident which is said to have occurred at a bar in Melbourne less than two decades ago have been emerging since Rose first shared the claims online.
The former manager at the nightclub, Spice Market, spoke out about what he witnessed on the evening in question after the two stars arrived together back in August 2010.

According to Rose, once they were inside, Perry 'bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her'.
The ex-boss of the Spice Market said that although he noticed that Rose and the singer were both 'drunk', he was unaware of 'any alleged assault, or someone vomiting'.
Perry's team issued a statement vehemently denying Rose's claims on Monday (13 April), which said: "The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies.
"Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."
Perry also shared a cryptic message to fans on her Instagram Story.
In wake of this response from the 'Dark Horse' hitmaker, Rose shared a series of posts on the social media site Threads to explain that she had been compelled to contact the police.

"Today I will be walking into a police station to see if any of my experiences can be investigated," she wrote. "I imagine they are past their statute of limitations, but all the more reason to try.
"I have a long list, it will probably take more out of me than I’m prepared for, but I will come back here to update others on the process, as soon as I am ready."
On Tuesday, the Batwoman actress shared what she said would be her 'last update' on the situation.
"As of this afternoon, I have finalised all of my reports," Rose said. "This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.
"It’s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people’s experiences, but I’m not. This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief. I can start the healing process now."
On Wednesday (15 April), a spokesperson for Victoria Police then verified that an investigation into Rose's claims had begun.

Detectives from the Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are handling the case, cops said.
Officials are 'investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010', the spokesperson told the Herald Sun, while adding: "Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD.
"As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."
LADbible has contacted representatives for Rose and Perry for comment, as well as Victoria Police for further comment.
