Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose accused Katy Perry of a serious sexual assault last night on social media and has now spoken out to thanks fans for their support.
Rose posted on Threads yesterday, 13 April, accusing Perry of sexually assaulting her. The celebrity claims that Perry had assaulted her at a nightclub, claiming that she saw Rose ‘resting’ on someone’s lap and ‘bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her’.
The singer has spoken out to deny the claims in a public statement to TMZ in which she called them ‘categorically false’ and ‘dangerous reckless lies’.

Perry’s statement continued: “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named."

In her initial post about the situation, before telling the full story, Rose responded to Katy Perry mocking Justin Bieber for his viral Coachella set in which he sang over YouTube videos of his song.
The actor responded on threads to say: “Katy Perry sexually assaulted me at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne.
“Who gives a sh*t what she thinks.”
She claimed however that she ‘kept it a secret’ in part because Perry helped her gain a US visa, initially stating she was ‘not interested’ in filling a police report.

In one post she said: “As a woman, for a myriad of reasons, opening up about W on W [women on women] violence and sexual abuse seems to be 100 times harder than speaking about the male predators, for me.”
She also posted to say: “I was only in my early 20’s. I’m now 40.
“It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes.”
In later posts however she said she had actually filed a police report against Perry over the incident, and has now given an update.
Rose said that as of today she has ‘finalised all of her reports’.

She added: “This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved.
“It’s going to look like I am ignoring everything from supportive messages, to other people’s experiences, but I’m not.
“This is a standard request from the police and in many ways, quite the relief. I can start the healing process now.
“And temporary move forward. I love you all so much.”
