Samuel L. Jackson has a clause inserted in every movie contract before he signs

There are plenty of reasons why you'd want Samuel L. Jackson in your movie, not least because he's the highest grossing star of all time and audiences love him.

On top of that he's an incredibly well regarded actor with real star power to his name so there are few better ways to get a buzz going round your movie than to have him in it.

However, if you wanted to cast Jackson in a film there's a clause he wants in pretty much every movie contract he signs which you'd better be ready to agree to.

Actors have all sorts of different clauses in their contract, some the actor wants in there and others the studio demands before anyone signs up to anything.

Rebel Wilson revealed that in her Pitch Perfect contract was a clause telling her she wasn't allowed to lose weight, while Keanu Reeves bans studios from digitally mucking about with his face too much once he's filmed his parts.

To cast Samuel L. Jackson in your movie means giving him enough time to indulge in one of his favourite hobbies - golf.

Lots of celebrities are very much into golf and Jackson is one of them to the point that he requires people wanting to hire him for their movie to let him have the time to play golf at least twice a week.

Jackson revealed the habit in an interview with CNN a decade ago where he said the filmmakers tended to either 'move me onto a golf course so I can play' or signed him up to a nearby club so he could play.

The actor revealed that he wasn't really interested in golfing until some friends of his 'tricked' him into giving it a go by lying about where they were going for the day 'and we ended up at a golf course'.

His competitive side took over and he had such a bee in his bonnet over them being able to play and him not that now they 'don't play with me'.

Samuel L. Jackson described golf as 'a perfect game for an only child like me' and having acted all over the world the contract clause means he's also golfed all over it too.

He's played with golf pros like Tiger Woods and former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, and his favourite course is the Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia, where The Masters is played.
