Scarlett Johansson had to remind Gwyneth Paltrow about A-List celebrity she was married to

Scarlett Johansson once has to awkwardly remind Gwyneth Paltrow about which A-Lister she had been married to.

I mean, to be fair to the Goop founder, it can’t exactly be easy keeping up with who is married to who when you’re surrounded by the celebrities of Hollywood.

Sure, it’s sad and all, but it does seem like there’s often a flurry of divorces, dating rumours and marriages among the faces of the big screen.

But Paltrow isn’t necessarily alone in forgetting who Johansson was once married to – some people genuinely might have actually forgotten this bit of trivia.

Currently, the Black Widow actor is married to Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Jost, having tied the knot back in 2020.

The pair are pretty solid too, often having a joke at one another’s expense on the comedy show.

And during a previous appearance on Paltrow’s Goop podcast, Johansson spoke about her relationship as well as previous marriages.

The host and fellow Marvel star asked: "You’ve been married two times?"

But the Jurassic World Rebirth star then had to clarify in her response that, including Jost, she’d actually been married three times – her second marriage was to former journalist Romain Dauriac, with whom she also shares a child.

But then, Paltrow remembered: "Oh that’s right, because I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds, goals!"

Johansson laughed, before opening up on her first marriage: "We weren’t married very long, but we were when I first met you, for Iron Man or whatever."

The host praised the Deadpool star, adding: "We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our house," with his ex-wife also saying: "He's a good guy."

Of course, Reynolds has now been married to actor Blake Lively since 2012, with the couple having four children together as well as balancing their several individual business ventures, such as the actor's co-ownership of Wrexham FC.

Reynolds and Johansson though, were not together for long, as they made it official at a private ceremony in September 2008, before calling it quits in 2010, with their divorce being finalised in December of that year.

At the time, they said: "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage.

"We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated."

It's fair to say that everything worked out for the best for the actors.
