Scarlett Johansson's co-star previously addressed kiss as they share new intimate image

Scarlett Johansson's Jurassic World Rebirth co-star has previously spoken out about their controversial public kiss.

Jonathan Bailey made headlines after sharing a smooch with the Marvel star on the red carpet for their new film in June, as the snap quickly went viral.

Laying one on a friend is a bit rogue, but given that Johansson has been married to SNL member Colin Jost since 2020, a number of fans were not best pleased.

Against all odds though, the comedian addressed the red carpet kiss. It comes as Bailey recently shared a Twilight-esque 'neck bite' snap with Johansson.

While some may just point out that they're good mates and may be a tad affectionate, Jost really didn't give a s***, quite frankly.

When asked about the snaps, he explained to Entertainment Tonight: "There's been a lot of Jurassic press things where you think 'I didn't expect this to be a story'.

"But there's a lot of stories coming out of it. I guess, in Jurassic Park terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought."

Jost did point out that 'of all the threats', he 'wasn't thinking it was Jonathan', as he reminded listeners: "Jonathan is an out gay man, he didn't seem like the biggest threat. Jonathan and I were like, 'I guess we have to kiss now, to close the loop.'"

But it turns out that Bailey himself also addressed the situation to the same outlet, saying: "I believe in being able to show love in all different ways.

"And if you can’t kiss your friends... life’s too short not to."

Whether it was a PR stunt to raise awareness for the film or a harmless peck between mates, Jurassic World Rebirth has so far grossed almost $850 million at the box office, so I don't think those involved will be shedding a tear any time soon.

Johansson was nonchalant about it all when asked about the red carpet kiss, saying on Today: "He’s a lovable guy, what can I say? I don’t know. We’re just friendly people."

She also told Access Hollywood: "People are really... They got some time."

Unfortunately for celebrity news fans, it doesn't look like much is going to come from this, with no cases of 'hotwifing' around here.

Johansson is known to be a good sport when it comes to dealing with 'controversies' in the public eye, even hitting back at one of Jost's SNL colleagues after he made a joke about her vagina.
