Seth Rogen has got some of the biggest stars in show business on speed dial, as those who have been tuning into The Studio will be well aware.
He persuaded a myriad of famous faces to appear in the satirical Apple TV+ series, while a host of Hollywood heavyweights also make cameos.
The ensemble cast includes legends like Catherine O'Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders, but numerous other cinematic icons also get some airtime too.

Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, Olivia Wilde, Adam Scott, Dave Franco, Ice Cube and Zac Efron are among those who also lent their acting talents to The Studio.
Essentially, Rogen cast the crème de la crème in terms of A-listers - but noticeably, a number of his most memorable co-stars were missing from the line-up.
Ahead of the series release, the actor and comedian, 43, sat down with LADbible to explain why his sidekicks from cult classics such as Superbad don't make an appearance in the ten-part show.
Take a look at the trailer for The Studio here:
Rogen and his childhood best friend Evan Goldberg are behind some hilarious movies which a lot of us hold close to our hearts, such as Superbad, Pineapple Express and This Is The End.

Each of these iconic films boast casts which a lot of directors could only dream of compiling, but Rogen was well ahead of the curve, spotting the potential in budding stars and arguably giving a few their big breaks.
Some viewers tuning into The Studio were hoping that his former co-stars - such as Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Danny McBride or Bill Hader - might pop in at some point.
But it turns out that Rogen actually made the executive decision not to include people he's famously worked with in his latest project, as he wanted to freshen things up for fans.
The Canadian told LADbible that he 'sort of' considered casting 'some of' his former collaborators from his most famous films, but ultimately, decided to move in another direction.
He explained that this had a lot to do with his own role in The Studio, as while he wrote, directed and executive produced the series with Goldberg, Rogen also takes on the lead role.

The funnyman plays Matt Remick, who has just been appointed as the head of Continental Studios - which is a gig he's been vying for his entire career.
He 'eats, sleeps and breathes movies', but ends up lurching between 'glittering success and career-ending catastrophe' in every episode as he struggles to deal with all the weight that's on his shoulders.
Rogen revealed that as The Studio is already chock-a-block with film references and a great deal of name-dropping, he was wary about 'blurring the line' between fiction and reality.
Explaining why his co-stars from Superbad, Pineapple Express and This Is The End don't appear, he told LADbible: "We didn’t want to blur the line too much between Seth Rogen’s career and Matt Remick’s career.

"If we were directly referencing too many movies that I was in, and people who were known to be famous because of things that I was also in, it sort of started to blur the line in a confusing way at times.
"So we actually gravitated more towards people who you don’t associate with me, and who you haven’t seen me on screen with a dozen times."
Rogen admitted that he chucked in a few wildcards in The Studio's cast, and it paid off.

He continued: "The idea of me and Olivia Wilde and Zoe Kravitz seemed very funny - but also, we got Zac Efron in there!

"I think we tried to balance it with people that I know I’m funny with and that I know I work well with, and who people get excited to see and who would fit in the roles well.
"But we also wanted it to be people who you’ve never seen me with, basically."
Rogen's ability to gel so well with such a unique array of stars is certainly a testimony of his acting acumen, if you ask me.
And if you were wondering who Rogen still wants to work with after collaborating with some of the film world's finest, it's the one, the only - Daniel Day Lewis.
He added: "Who doesn’t want to work with Daniel Day Lewis? He’d be good, I’d love to work with him. He’s just like the best. He seems like a great actor."
The Studio is available to stream on Apple TV+.
