The new episode of The Boys has a celeb-filled scene where it shows what real-life actors have been up to in the superhero-filled world.
The Boys season five is now over halfway to its conclusion, and the end of the show forever. The Prime Video TV show doesn’t have that many household names in its cast, but behind the scenes they have one of the world’s most famous celebrities making the show happen.
Rogen has been an executive producer for all 40 seasons of the show, having appeared as himself in three episodes.
The new instalment, episode five, sees him play himself on the show for the fourth and final time as he is shown hanging out with Jared Padalecki’s Marathon Man alongside a group of familiar celebrity faces.
Spoiler warning for The Boys season five, episode five.
Rogen is joined in his cameo-filled scene by some household names, whilst name dropping some major A-Listers
Homelander and Soldier Boy visit Marathon Man, played by Jared Padalecki and Malchemical, played by Misha Collins marking a Supernatural reunion.

Things do not end here however as we are shown that Seth Rogen is hanging out with Christopher Mintz Plasse in a Superbad reunion, as well as Kumail Nanjani and Will Forte, all of whom are also playing themselves.
The actors are sat around discussing Homelander’s new laws in which anyone who opposes him is rounded up, and reveal that they have turned in several other fellow celebrities.

They name drop Aziz Ansari, Macaulay Culkin, Joaquin Phoenix, Kiefer Sutherland, Meryl Streep, Benedict Wong, and Benedict Cumberbatch as having been rounded up for their opposition to Homelander in a not-so-subtle shot at Trump.
In addition to this they suggest that Bill Hader was executed and that Channing Tatum and Post Malone are next to go.
Mintz Plasse even suggests making a fake report about Michael Cera, his fellow Superbad star, since they’re up for the same part, in a jokey nod to Mintz Plasse’s real-life feud with Jonah Hill.
Ultimately though, it ends horribly for the celebrities.
Seth Rogen meets a gory end in The Boys after he was responsible for the show happening
After Malchemical and Marathon Man try to take out Homelander the celebrities are all killed by Soldier Boy, who uses them as human shields to block Marathon Man as they fight each other.
Rogen is the last to go, being torn in half by Marathon Man before Padalecki’s character reaches down and breaks his neck.
Many will not realise however that Rogen’s appearance is not that out there, as he is partially responsible for the TV show even existing.
Appearing on First We Feast in 2022, Rogen stated that him and producing partner Evan Goldberg initially convinced Sony to buy the rights to adapt it soon after the comic came out in 2006.

Ultimately they wanted to make it a movie and hired someone else to do it, though he added: “They hired other people to do that and after like a decade of those people f*cking it up in some shape or form, it came back to us and we turned it into the TV show."
Speaking about why he thinks The Boys stands out in a Marvel dominated world, he said: “I think people love superhero stuff, and Marvel is obviously very popular and makes great films and TV shows, but there are certain things they can't do.
“It would be too damaging to their brand to have a character kill someone with their 10-inch d*ck. So as long as they're not doing that, it leaves a great opportunity for us to do that.”
The Boys is available to stream now on Prime Video.
