Snoop Dogg fans spot loophole after rapper announces he’s ‘given up smoke’

Snoop Dogg fans spot loophole after rapper announces he’s ‘given up smoke’

Fans are now speculating on the wording of his post

Snoop Dogg confused a lot of us last week when he announced he’s ‘given up smoke’.

I mean, the ‘Young, Wild & Free’ rapper is pretty much synonymous with weed. So it seemed a little unbelievable that he’d just quit it.

But the post seems a little cryptic and has left fans scratching their heads and speculating if Snoop really has given up weed all together.

The 52-year-old had posted on social media: “After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke.”

He went to ask people to ‘respect my privacy’ as he continues to flood Instagram with updates on his life.

And as fans comment on his posts, they reckon they’ve spotted a 'loophole' in his announcement.

Snoop recently celebrated the anniversary of his debut studio album.

Because while it’s not actually clear what ‘smoke’ Snoop is referring to, people are pointing out that he doesn’t necessarily need to ‘smoke’ marijuana.

Fans write: “He said he giving up ‘smoke’ doesn’t mean he can’t use edibles.”

Others echoed: “He gave up smoke no eddies,” and: “He’s still enjoying them edibles!”

Another even thinks: “He on his edibles he promotions hell yeah! Love the business strategy.”

Despite fan speculation, there isn't anything to suggest Snoop is actually on edibles, though.

This came as Snoop celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album Doggystyle with various Instagram posts.

The rapper had previously posted a black-and-white selfie with the caption ‘natural high’ as fans called him ‘real for this’.

So while some reckon he’s moved on to edibles, others really think he’s truly given up weed altogether.

One wrote: “Hang in there unks! You leading a whole generation.”

As another put: “Yes King! Detox them lungs and get some breathwork.”

While plenty told him to ‘stay strong’, Snoop continues to cause confusion as he recently launched a new smoking product.

The rapper and Martha Stewart announced their ‘Best Buds Bags’ which literally are little crossbody bags with a lighter attached.

Reported by The Source, Snoop said: “This bag’s got it all. From my favourite lighter, favourite colour, and dime-sized secret stash pockets to stash my favourite herbs.”

Martha also added: “You never know when you’re going to need a lighter! The Best Buds Bag combines convenience and style into one.”

These bags are just a taste of the pair’s upcoming lighter collection, said to be released in early 2024.
