Sydney Sweeney has been called out by people online after viewers watching Euphoria were left losing it over a scene they have dubbed as ‘feeding into’ a sickening ‘kink’.
Season 3 of the hit HBO show is here, and people have been lapping it up as the original cast reprises their roles after what feels like years since season 2 ended.
However, Sydney Sweeney, the actress who plays Cassie in Euphoria, has come under fire for a specific scene in the season that had people saying ‘f***’ more times than I can count.
The heat on social media comes months after Sweeney’s controversy surrounding her American Eagle jeans advert which took centre stage before the show was revived for its likely-to-be final season.

But Sydney isn’t the only one to be lashed out at, as the show’s producer, Sam Levinson, has also caught flack too.

Now that the show is here, fans have been able to see just what happened to Rue, Cassie, Maddy and Nate, as well as other OG characters once the curtains closed on their school lives.
Unsurprisingly for most, it came out pretty quickly that Cassie turned to making adult content, however, it appeared to be behind the back of Nate, who is now her hubby.

Anyway, while Cassie could be seen posing in various skimpy outfits fitting of adult-tailored requests, one scene saw her sucking on a pacifier, in pigtails, pulling the ‘happy baby’ yoga pose...wearing what can only be described as a sheer frilly top and white pants akin to a diaper.
Of course, this caused people to blow up on social media, as many believe this is pandering to a ‘pedophilia kink’, and using Sweeney’s character to do it.
Calling her ‘weird’ for even agreeing to the scene, viewers have slammed both her and Levinson for the shot.
One person on X wrote: “sam levinson is weird as f***for even coming up with this and sydney is weird as f***for not saying no to it.”
Another scathed: “What the actual f***, this is wrong in so many ways. Was the f***ing pacifier needed.”
Someone else added that it comes at a time where rich and powerful people have supposedly been liked to a sex trafficking operation: “specially when the Epstein files are trending oh this weirdo needs to be stopped let this be his last time producing wtf.”
A user asked: “Why the f***would Sydney agree to be portrayed like this????? Wtf??????”
Finally, a person shared: “the fact that nobody is taking this seriously is pissing me the f*** off??? this is literally feeding into a pedophilia kink what the F***.”
But there were also those who thought some were being dramatic, with one person writing: “Ur wierd as f***for thinking it’s weird as f***.”
Another said it was only a natural progression for Cassie, explaining: “A known whore in her teens being an Only fans girl as an adult, please let’s be serious. Y’all are only mad cuz it’s a little bit too close to the truth.”
This backlash comes after Sweeney opened up about being a ‘sex symbol’.
The 28-year-old told Variety that she plays ‘a lot of very divisive characters’, and many people ‘think they know’ her.
“But they don’t,” she said. “So when people think, ‘Ah, she’s a sex symbol,’ or ‘She’s leaning into that,’ I’m like, ‘No, I just feel good and I’m doing it for myself and I feel strong'."
