Tana Mongeau was left wondering if she had developed a little-known side effect called 'Ozempic vulva' after learning about the term online.

In case you're new here, Ozempic vulva is an apparent side effect caused by rapid weight loss medications such as Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy.

It's no secret that rapidly losing weight often leaves people with loose skin as it doesn't have time to keep up with the rapidly decreasing stores of fat all over the body.

And it turns out that no part of your body is spared – at least that's what people experiencing Ozempic vulva will tell you.

Although Ozempic vulva is not currently a recognised side effect, several patients have reported dealing with one or more of the following: a sagging of the outer labia, weakness of the vaginal muscles and dryness.

The term has, of course, gone viral across the internet - similar to how fears of Ozempic penis took over earlier this year - leaving many more people wondering if they've developed it and not noticed.

This list includes Tana Mongeau, with the 27-year-old sharing her honest reaction to the term in a recent post on TikTok.

"New term of the day, Ozempic vulva," Mongeau told the camera, adding: "I just found out about Ozempic vulva... I love 2025."

Explaining the phenomena in rather blunt terms, she continues: "Apparently s**t [ozempic] makes s**t [your vulva] hang."

Mongeau then went on to wonder if her brief foray into using Mounjaro could've left her hanging low, bending forwards before adding: "And I'm like 'do I have Ozempic vulva?"

When asked for a comment on Ozempic vulva, manufacturer Novo Nordisk previously said the following to LADbible: "A spokesperson for Ozempic's manufacturer, Novo Nordisk, previously told LADbible Group in a statement: "Patient safety is of the utmost importance to Novo Nordisk. We recommend patients take these medications only for their approved indications and under the supervision of a healthcare professional. "Treatment decisions should be made together with a healthcare provider who can evaluate the appropriateness of using a GLP-1 based on assessment of a patient’s individual medical profile."

The statement continued: "We recommend that any UK patient experiencing side effects while taking GLP receptor agonists including Wegovy®▼ or Ozempic® report them to their healthcare provider and via the MHRA Yellow Card scheme: https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/."

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old previously opened up about her unpleasant experience using Mounjaro, revealing that she'd been left dealing with extreme nausea.

"So I shot up Mounjaro," the content creator began on a recent episode of her YouTube podcast Cancelled with Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield, going on to reveal that she'd been left feeling extremely nauseous.

"And this is the biggest public service announcement to the whole wide world to never, ever, ever do it. I have been dying this week.

"Like, dying. Like, crawling on the floor."
