John Cena revealed that he carries a pocket watch with him to hold whenever he feels as though he is 'less than' at a public event.
The WWE star-turned-actor spoke candidly about his insecurities during an interview with Romesh Ranganathan alongside his Matchbox: The Movie co-star, Jessica Biel, which opened with the trio engaging in some impromptu group therapy.
After Ranganathan admitted to being a 'people pleaser' and not wanting to give the guests a negative impression of himself, Cena jumped in to reassure the comedian that he wasn't alone when it came to experiencing insecurities.
"You are not alone. No, for real, you are not alone," Cena said, adding: "I go through a heavy dose of that in a lot of places."

The Peacemaker actor then went on to reveal that he carries a pocket watch around at all times, which he reaches into his pocket and holds whenever he feels 'less than'.
"You will see me literally rubbing it in places where I feel like less than," he explained.
"I carry this with me because you're not alone. I struggle with that myself."
Cena then showed the pocket watch, which has the phrase 'comparison is the thief of joy' engraved on the back, adding that putting his hand inside his pocket was a 'telltale sign' that he was dealing with imposter syndrome.
"Just like my hand will be in my pocket like this, just going like that as a telltale sign that I don't belong here," the 49-year-old continued. "Super imposter syndrome."

This isn't the only time in which Cena has spoken candidly about his career in Hollywood, previously revealing that he was 'ran out of the movie business' for picking roles which his heart wasn't fully in.
"Those early projects — truth be told — I didn’t have my heart into," Cena told 3rd Hour of Today when reflecting on his first acting credits, which included a role in the 2006 movie The Marine.
Cena then admitted that he had preferred performing to large WWE crowds as a wrestler, meaning that he was eventually overlooked for further acting roles.

"I got ran out of the movie business for not caring and that’s justifiably so," he said. "If you don’t care about something, give somebody the opportunity that does."
However, The Suicide Squad actor revealed that his views towards the film industry have since done a 180, and that he is now 'super passionate' about his career.
“I’m now super passionate about what I do and that’s everything from filming to sitting here talking about this movie with you guys and I’m so lucky to be given a second chance," he added, "and that took 20 years to craft."
