Why Paris Fury named all of her sons Prince

The mother-of-seven said she has her work cut out for her when booking holidays and speaking to doctors about her boys

Paris Fury has explained that there was in fact a method to the madness of naming all four of her sons Prince.

The TV star and spouse of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury admitted that it can be 'very confusing', especially when booking holidays or speaking to a doctor about her kids.

The 36-year-old has now revealed the reason behind why they chose to give their boys matching monikers.

A lot of people were formally introduced to the seven young members of the Fury brood in the family's hit Netflix series.

We've seen Paris and Tyson, 37, celebrate a host of milestones with their kids in At Home With The Furys, which returned to screens for a second series earlier this month.

Despite having an army of children running around their home, the boxing legend told viewers that his and Paris' sex life is still on top form - and how he wouldn't mind adding three more nippers to their family.

They've already got daughters Venezuela, 16, Valencia, eight, and Athena, four...as well as four sons who are all called Prince.

The eldest is 15-year-old Prince John James, followed by Prince Tyson Fury II, nine, Prince Adonis Amaziah, seven and lastly, Prince Rico Paris, who was born in 2023.

Thankfully, they go by their middle names - but the fact remains that the boys 'all have the same first name', as Paris just explained during an appearance on Jamie Laing's podcast, Great Company.

Discussing the trials and tribulations of having seven children, the mum said: "When you go to the doctors and they say, 'What's their date of birth?' You look like the world's worst parent because you're like, 'It's not that I don't love them, there's just so many, give me a minute'. I have Venezuela, Prince, Tyson, Valencia, Adonis, Athena and Rico. That's seven, that's it."

Paris then explained why her and Tyson chose to give each of the lads the same name, telling Laing that it all stems back to the moment she welcomed her firstborn son into the world.

"I was really high [on gas and air] when I was giving birth to Prince," she laughed. "He was going to be called John-James all along, very traditional, very nice.

"I had him and I looked and I thought, 'He doesn't look like a John-James'. So, we were thinking of different names and then Prince came up. And I was like, 'Oh! Prince, he has to be a Prince! He's my Prince'."

She said the reality of bestowing such a regal name on her son then set in three days later - but Tyson thought it was extremely fitting, given that he's the 'Gypsy King'.

And in the sporting star's eyes, it wasn't fair to call one of his sons Prince and not the others - so when Paris was pregnant with little Tyson, he said all of his male offspring have 'got to be Prince'.

"I said, 'That's crazy! You can't do that'," Paris recalled. "And he went, 'No, we'll just do it and it's okay, it won't matter'. And I thought, 'Well, as long as we don't tell anyone...'

Paris also revealed how her and Tyson came up with their daughters 'unusual' names (Kate Green/Getty Images for Netflix)

"Then that didn't work either," the mum laughed. "So yeah, we ended up with four Prince's, it's very confusing.

"When you book a holiday as well, they actually think you're telling lies because you're like - Prince Fury, Prince Fury, Prince Fury...it is what it is."

Laing then asked her if she and Tyson had purposely chosen a geographical names for the female members of the Fury brood, but she insisted this was actually unintentional.

"My oldest girl is named after a place just because we loved the name," Paris said. "I wanted to call her something unusual, she got Venezuela. Her dad thought of the name.

"I either leaned with calling her after myself or calling her something totally unique. Valencia, we spent a lot of time in Spain at the time and we kept seeing it on the signs and it just come to us that it is going to be her name.

"And then, Athena...we just liked the name, it seemed to go with Adonis, it was a really nice name. It has a bit of a meaning, it was the goddess of wisdom and war.

"And she came out a little fighter, she had a bad heart when she was born. It sort of suited her, the fact that she got through everything, so."
