Ibiza is losing one of its most iconic figures as Wayne Lineker has announced that he's leaving as he said that party lifestyle he's become famous for is 'now impossible for me'.
He told his followers that he'd left the island on Sunday (5 October) after 'becoming a little bit miserable', having previously said he'd entered rehab and had been sober for a couple of months, as well as started to patch things up with brother Gary.
Plenty of people who'd visited Ibiza for the lifestyle ended up posing with Lineker for a picture but he's going to be away for a while as he said 'there is no bigger trigger in the world than Ocean for me'.
He said: "So I made the decision to leave Ibiza this morning before the island won again..

"Living my former Ibiza lifestyle is now impossible for me. Walking into Ocean is very different for me now being sober."
Lineker said he thought he'd be able to cope but he realised he'd been 'hiding in the restaurant or leaving early' and was finding it difficult to be the centre of attention for folks living it large when he was attempting to stay sober.
"One day I’m hopeful I’ll find a new version of myself that can step back into the beating heart of Ibiza," he told his followers as he said he wanted to make it back to the island.
"But for now, I just need a little more time to heal… and that’s what recovery is.

"If there’s anyone out there reading this who’s in a similar spot, it’s OK, you can face your demons. Get yourselves help .. going to rehab was the best decision of my life!"
He's since posted another update saying he's been back in London and was grateful for the feedback people had given him after his announcement that he was leaving Ibiza.
"Good morning everyone from a sunny London. After all the amazing feedback from my post yesterday. I've had so much positive and caring feedback," Lineker told his fans.
"I just want to let you know how grateful I am to you all and that I am very happy and excited [...] but I am in a different place in my life right now and I'm anything but sad.

"I am at the moment working on other projects that are not alcohol related one is my own very big charity project along with Kate Stewart and also E commerce with my good friend Ryan JB here is the post in case you missed it..
"I have nothing but love for all of you. And yes I fully intend to return to the magic island next year once I am a year free of any alcohol or mind altering substances.
"Then I will assess how I deal with that."
