Zendaya and Tom Holland rarely make comments on their relationship with one another, even in the face of rumours they secretly got married.
In the press run for The Drama however, in which Zendaya stars alongside Robert Pattinson as a couple set to be married before her character Emma reveals a shocking secret, the film’s concept has opened the actor up to talking about her relationship more than ever before.
Zendaya and Holland began their relationship after a friendship born out of starring together in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The couple have spoken about how their privacy was ‘taken’ from them when a paparazzi snapped pictures of the pair kissing in a car, revealing their secret relationship.

Since then they have become more open at times, but mostly kept the specifics of their relationship away from the public eye.
This speculation however has become even more fervent in recent weeks after Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach claimed that the pair had gotten married earlier this year.
Zendaya has poked fun at speculation around this, presenting a poorly photoshopped version of The Drama with Tom Holland’s head superimposed over Robert Pattinsons’.
Whilst she has begun wearing a ring on her wedding finger, Zendaya and Tom Holland have yet to comment on this.
In a new interview with The Times however she has spoken sweetly about when she knew that Holland was ‘her person’.

She said: “There’s a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew that this is my person because I never feel nervous around them.
“I feel really peaceful and I feel really calm, and I feel like ‘Oh, I actually feel more nervous when I’m away from you than when I’m with you.’ And that was when I was like ‘Oh, that’s a good sign!’”
Zendaya did also however acknowledge the parasocial relationship many fans have with her and Holland, saying: “There is a level of parasocial investment in my personal relationship — I am aware that I am a public person and so is he — but in a lot of ways I also am a very private person, I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well.”
The interviewer also asked, piggybacking off of The Drama, the question: “What if we don’t know the person we love as well as we think we do?
“What if they surprise us … and that surprise is not good?”

Zendaya responded saying: “I feel like I’m biased because I’ve been able to grow up with the person that I love and get to know them, through being literally a teenager to now.”
She added: “But in life, naturally, we’re going to grow and we’re going to change no matter what.
“So it’s good to know someone, at least at the core, so that as they grow and as they change, you can be a part of that in some way.
“It’s like, you know where we’re coming from.”
The comment is typically effusive praise from the pair, speaking highly of one another any time they do choose to speak about their relationship.
When asked why he didn’t walk the red carpet at the premiere of Dune: Part Two as part of a Men’s Health, Holland said: “Because it's not my moment, it's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us.”
