Tom Holland has spoken out about his marriage to Zendaya after months of speculation, with many having questioned whether it was all an elaborate marketing ploy for her marriage based film The Drama.
It was in fact, however, a genuine secret marriage between arguably the biggest celebrity couple in the world.
Zendaya and Holland have been outspoken on their desire to be able to keep their relationship secret, with it having been exposed by 'invasive' paparazzi pictures that showed the pair kissing.
The Spider-Man actor had previously spoken about the experience of having his privacy 'taken away' amid finding fame, referencing the fact that their relationship was made public against their will, saying: "I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy."

Rumours began of Holland and Zendaya's marriage when Law Roach, Zendaya's stylist, let slip in March of this year that the pair were now husband and wife.

This was compounded by Zendaya wearing a wedding ring throughout press for The Drama, but many questioned if this was just all an elaborate marketing ploy. According to Holland however, it wasn't.
Holland was now asked by Esquire about whether his family were confused by viral AI pictures of the 'wedding', responding saying: "No, because they were all there...That’s all you’ll get on that."
The viral AI pictures were so prominent that Zendaya had also addressed them in an appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show where she jokingly shared pictures of the 'wedding' with Holland's face pasted onto Robert Pattinson's body in stills from The Drama.
He continued, discussing his relationship and saying: "Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time.
"We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.

"So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."
The pair met during the audition process for Spider-Man: Homecoming, remaining friends for years before their relationship was revealed. He said of his first impression of her: "Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her.
"She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she’d even left the room. I remember when she closed the door to leave, [Sony producer on the Spider-Man films] Amy Pascal was immediately like, 'Well, she’s getting the job.'"
Speaking about their relationship in a rare comment in an interview with The Times, Zendaya said: "There’s a certain feeling that I was able to experience when I knew that this is my person because I never feel nervous around them.

“I feel really peaceful and I feel really calm, and I feel like ‘Oh, I actually feel more nervous when I’m away from you than when I’m with you.’ And that was when I was like ‘Oh, that’s a good sign!'"
She did acknowledge the weird relationship the pair have with their fans, adding: "There is a level of parasocial investment in my personal relationship — I am aware that I am a public person and so is he — but in a lot of ways I also am a very private person, I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well.”
