Get ready, because Prime Video’s upcoming globe-trotting spy espionage series Citadel has finally landed, with the first two episodes now available to stream.

While there has been no shortage of spy and secret agent content in the past couple of years - cough cough No Time To Die, Ocean’s Eleven and Killing Eve, Citadel will completely knock your socks off.

The Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe, are at the helm for this one and considering they've directed multiple films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you know this will be a blockbuster series like no other.

Think exciting, action-packed scenes, stellar acting and an impressive dialogue that will have you frantically holding on to each moment, putting it in a league of its own.

This six-part series begins with the demise of Citadel - an independent global spy agency tasked with upholding the safety and security of all people - which has been destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows.

With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives.

They’ve remained hidden since Citadel crumbled - building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.

Eight years later, Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague Bernard Orlick (played by the fabulous Stanley Tucci), who enlists Mason to help prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.

For the mission, Mason seeks out his former secret agent partner, Nadia and the two spies embark on a journey that takes them around the world in an effort to destroy Manticore once and for all.

Great cast, lavish locations and underpinned by a saucy love story, what more could you want while choosing the next best espionage series to binge in the colder months?

This is gonna be epic…

So, grab the blanket and a bottle of red, as the first two episodes of Citadel have been released with new episodes Fridays, only on Prime Video. Start your 30 day free trial.
