Seán Dermot Fintan O'Leary Jr., better known as Dermot O’Leary, is an English broadcaster and presenter who works for The BBC and ITV.
O'Leary made his first radio appearance in his hometown as a disc jockey for Essex Radio (now Heart Essex).
Following this, he had a collection of small television roles and at one point worked as a runner for Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins on their TV show Light Lunch.

As he started working his way up the greasy pole, he began to obtain roles in front of the camera. These positions included presenting the Channel 4 reality TV show Shattered in 2004.
It was not until 2007 that O’Leary became a regular face on our TV screens, however, when he took on the role of presenting The X Factor on ITV. He quickly became a much-loved household name.
