Eminem faces off against Spider-Man in rap battle in limited-edition Marvel comic cover

Eminem is gracing the cover of a limited edition of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.

We’d never thought we’d see these two worlds collide, but this is epic nonetheless.

While Slim Shady won’t appear in the comic book series, creator Salvador Larroca and hustl., have placed the rapper alongside the friendly neighbourhood web-slinger on the cover.

Not only that, but an influx of superheroes also appear in the crowd, including Miles Morales, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Ghost-Spider, cheering the two on as Eminem freestyles.

It looks like something right out of the 2002 classic 8 Mile.

Maybe, we'll even get a spin-off: 8 Miles Morales

Only 5,000 print copies will be available for purchase, with an additional 1,000 limited print run of the spotlight version of the original cover will be available starting next Tuesday (November 29).

You’ll be able to snag a copy via Eminem.com, so ensure you don’t miss out!

According to the rapper’s website, Def Jam Recordings’ CEO and manager of Eminem, Paul Rosenberg, said the cover came from Haul, an agency that fuses the comic world with real-life popular culture.

For example, Haul brought The Notorious B.I.G. to the Deadpool cover and football star Saquon Barkley to Black Panther.

According to Rosenberg, Eminem didn't hesitate when hustl. first approached him about the idea.

"I've always been a huge Spider-Man fan since I was a kid," Eminem said.

"He's definitely in my top 5… So being on a cover battling Spider-Man is such a thrill and an honour.

Chief Operating Officer of hustl., Keri Harris, added: “It’s truly an honour to be able to bring Eminem and Spider-Man to fans slinging raps on this official Marvel variant cover.

"There is no doubt that fans lucky enough to find themselves holding one of these will possess a highly sought-after collectable.”

The rapper also shared the cover via his Instagram with the caption: “HONORED to be on the official variant of The Amazing Spider-Man (2022).”

Of course, this sent the comment sections into a frenzy, as one person joked: “Spider-Man is about to see where Falcon got all his trauma.”

Another commented: “All fun n games till uncle ben gets mentioned.”

While one fan even pitch a few bars: “If you don't like me then homie ur a hater/ If you the spider man, I'm the exterminator/ You have no friends would rather hang with mom instead/ that's why they call you spider man, your whole life is on the web/.”
