Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially released UK-wide and now fans finally know what role Sadie Sink was given after months of secrecy – but it might play into her debut show in a strange way.
The Spider-Man film has been long-awaited, and ever since people found out there was a new addition to the celebrity cast, things only got more hyped from there.
With the return of Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo and Jon Bernthal also crept back into the MCU's latest drop, alongside Sadie Sink.

For so long people had been left to wonder who she could possibly play, with some believing she would be a redheaded love-interest character.

But that's not the case.
Instead, her character was let slip one day before the film's release by the film's music artist, Steve Lacy.
Bet he got The Feeling he was about to cause a riot online with his Bad Habit (sorry) when he dropped the fact that Sadie plays none other than Jean Grey from X-Men in the spider film.
At the Brand New Days red carpet premiere, he accidentally said the Marvel character was his favourite in the film...but nobody else could have been Jean at that point as we already knew the casting, other than Sadie's.
Now that viewers have watched the flick, they're making a comparison to her character that might reveal an intentional cross-over between Marvel and Netflix.
Specifically, that of Max, from Stranger Things. Except, they think Sadie is more like Max's enemy and kidnapper, Vecna.
If you don't know anything about this character, I'm sorry.
But basically, Vecna was Henry Creel, or One, had been part of a facility which tested children to unlock their supernatural abilities.

Vecna, was born out of Henry after Eleven, another test subject, blasted him into the Upside Down.
He then began to kidnap kids and torture them mentally, which only their favourite song being played would wake them up from.
Anyway, because of the similarities between Vecna's telekenisis and Jean's ability to practically manipulate cosmic forces, as well as people's minds, fans are sure Sadie's casting was a nod to her Stranger Things days.
One believer said: "i know sadie sink was feeling those stranger things parallels when Metzger was floating towards her vecna style."
Someone else said: "is v max an ode to vecna and max, relating sadie sink, as she had identical powers (actually more) as eleven."
Another wrote: "Sadie Sink literally playing Vecna in brand new day th."
Someone else commented: "no like im sorry but jeans whole thing really was giving me stranger things vibes."
For anyone who wants to be spoiled: V Max is a message Jean was sent by her dying sister via telepathy, which she then believed was a clue as to where she could be held.
Sadly, it was just misguided miscommunication and the last thing her sister saw when looking up at a peeling label.
