Is it him?

Some say he once bench pressed The Rock and that his lip-syncing skills are better than Terry Crews. All we know is, he's called The Stig.

Oh, and he might be called Phil Keen. That is if you're into analysing who is following who on Twitter.

Apparently the identity of The Stig has been revealed because new Top Gear presenters Matt LeBlanc and Rory Reid mysteriously began following the obscure race car driver on Twitter.

Keen has previously been linked to the role of the tame racing driver but he has no connection to the American actor whatsoever which has prompted the rumours.

The news came as LeBlanc actually missed the launch event for all-new Top Gear as he was filming the final series of BBC show Episodes.

No one actually knows whether Keen was present at the event but The Stig was sat at the end of the endless row of presenters.

Naturally, people are wondering how the 48-year-old former Friends actor could possibly know the journeyman racer other than through a connection on the BBC show.

Has there been a fuck up? Are we reading too much into this? Do you really care who The Stig actually is? Do you wish the first Top Gear would just hurry up and air so Twitter can explode with outrage at the revamp?

It's only a couple more nights lads, we'll know whether it's worth watching soon enough.
