Marvel veteran Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly set to return as Tony Stark in the Black Widow spin-off, according to Deadline.
While his casting for next year's film hasn't been officially confirmed by the studio just yet, the news outlet has reason to believe that Downey Jr. will be reprising his role of Iron Man.
However, it did not specify the nature of the actor's appearance - a cameo, perhaps?
In a roundup of news from the Saturn Awards, Deadline claimed: "Downey will be seen in the role of Stark one more time, however, in the Marvel prequel Black Widow in May 2020."

Directed by Cate Shortland and written by Jac Schaeffer, the film sees Scarlett Johansson return as the titular superhero/Natasha Romanoff, alongside the likes of David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz.
We don't know the roles each of the actors has, but Marvel did confirm at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year that Pugh would be playing Yelena Belova, who in the comics takes over the Balck Window mantle from Natasha Romanoff.
At the event, Shortland also threw us a few hints about what to expect from Johansson's superhero.
She said: "I think that's what drew me to the story, [Black Widow]'s got so many secrets, she's got so much vulnerability and I think that's what makes her such a great heroine.

"In this film we get to understand her past and put the pieces of herself together and come out a whole person."
The film reportedly started in the UK back in February, and was due to wrap up by the start of the summer.

Claiming that principal photography would be starting earlier this year and finished by the end of May, film magazine Production Weekly also shared what it claimed to have been the synopsis, which said: "At birth the Black Widow (aka Natasha Romanova) is given to the KGB, which grooms her to become its ultimate operative. When the U.S.S.R. breaks up, the government tries to kill her as the action moves to present-day New York, where she is a freelance operative."
But official details on the storyline remain fairly thin on the ground, so for now all we can do is hope it'll be something that long-time followers of Marvel will approve of.
So far the studio's films have been tailored towards a younger audience, but reports suggest this could all be about to change with Black Widow potentially being the studio's first R-rated (15) movie.
Black Widow is set for release in the US on 1 May 2020.
