Horror movies are always going to provide scenes that are distressing to watch, but unlike this one, they tend to stop before it goes too far.

Horror fans have come together to express their absolute disgust at this film which has been banned in several countries due to its awful depictions of sex.

While some films show gore galore, this went so far that a film festival director was arrested for screening it.

If you don’t already know what film this is, you’re lucky.

The 2010 flick has traumatised a generation who believed it would be a dark tale about the porn industry, only to get a lot more than they bargained for.

But while the film itself was horrific, so was what the actors had to endure to film it.

A Serbian Film is one of the most extreme, and disturbing, horror films in the world, which follows a semi-retired porn star who agrees to take part in an 'art film' before he leaves the business to settle down with his family.

However, he’s actually been hired to make a snuff film which includes paedophilia, murder and necrophilia.

Not only does it show sex with dead bodies, murdering people during sex, and a horrid incestuous scene, but there was also a baby who was immediately born only to be raped and killed.

If you feel like you must take a look, here’s the trailer:

A Serbian Film has been banned in many countries, and for a good reason.

However, the scenes that shocked people, were even worse for those who filmed.

In a documentary titled A Serbian Documentary, which was released in 2021, it shows the cast and crew working hard to make the film.

In a preview of the doc, viewers watch as an actress has goo slathered into her eyes, presumably as part of creating a cast for prosthetic makeup, and another woman has her bottom half casted so that it would be a realistic view of a woman naked.

For the worst scene possible, the baby scene, the doc showed a cast of a enlarged stomach attached to legs and a vagina, looking as though it’s in the process of giving birth to a baby.

Then, the camera pans and you can see a model of a newborn baby with its umbilical cord attached.

The lead actor, Srđan Todorović, who plays Miloš, spoke about how he was working with a ‘director who thinks he’s got a masterpiece in his hands.’

He then went on to say: “After 20 days, I started to believe him.”

You can see a preview for the documentary below, but be warned it contains some sexual and disturbing images:

Ana Sakić, who plays Jecina majka, explained how she told the director that it was ‘too brutal for me’, but he refused to change anything to accommodate her comfort.

Talking to IndieWire about the film and how the festival director was arrested for child pornography for daring to show his film, director Srđan Spasojević said: “On the one side, it’s very funny that someone can still find movies and editing so mysterious, like some kind of devil’s work.

"Of course, on the other hand, it’s very sad. It proves my film was right. One of the things the film’s saying is that we’re not living in the free world. The way the film was made also represents our resistance to political correctness, to fascism.

"These kind of reactions are fun, interesting, stupid and very, very sad. It’s evidence that we’re not free people.”
