Harold and Kumar directors say a fourth movie is definitely going to happen

Harold and Kumar directors say a fourth movie is definitely going to happen

It's just a 'matter of time'.

It's been more than a decade since we last saw the likes of Harold and Kumar.

The stoner best friends appeared on the big screen in A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas back in 2011 and fans of the franchise would probably love to see another instalment.

Well, it looks like that might not be out of the realm of possibility.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg directed two of the films in the epic saga and they've told Comicbook.com that a fourth movie is definitely going to happen.

New Line Cinema/Warner Bros.

They, along with Josh Heald, explained to the outlet: "Well, first of all, we are dying to make another one.

"We've been a little bit busy lately between Cobra Kai and Obliterated.

"We had a dinner not long ago. About a month ago with John (Cho) and Kat (Penn).

"We're all talking about making another one. It's really just a matter of time.

"It's figuring out when it could all fit into all of our schedules. It's something that we're all determined to do. We just need to find the time to do it."

Jon, Hayden and Josh have just had their new project, Obliterated, drop on Netflix, so they've been very busy boys in the last few months.

Trying to get them to align with Cho's (who played Harold) and Penn's (who played Kumar) schedules could be tricky.

But at least the desire is there to create movie magic once again.

A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas certainly left the door open for Harold and Kumar to get up to their old antics once again.

They shared a joint together for the first time in years at the end of the film, so a fourth movie could promise weed hilarity all over again.

While it doesn't have the best score on Rotten Tomatoes, the critical consensus on the site says the film was 'still raunchy, still irreverent, and still hit-and-miss'.

There's no word on when we can expect to see this fourth film hit the big screen so we'll have to wait for more updates.
