A film starring Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones – amongst others – has been getting some rave reviews after appearing on Prime Video a few days ago.
Here’s the trailer, so you can see what you think of it.
It’s called The Burial, and it’s actually based on a true story.

Well, sort of.
It’s based on a New Yorker article from 1999 that was based on a true story, but that’s close enough, right?
The plot circles around a hugely successful lawyer called Willie E. Gary, who takes on the case of homeowner Jeremiah Joseph O’Keefe, who wants to sue a big funeral home company over a contractual disagreement.
We won’t tell you how it actually went down, because you’ll have to watch the movie to find that out, but there’s legal intrigue aplenty to be had, as well as a few laughs along the way.

The film premiered recently at Toronto International Film Festival and has received a limited theatrical release, before it touched down onto Prime Video on October 13.
As well as Foxx, who stars as Gary, and Jones, who plays O’Keefe, there are star turns from Jurnee Smollett, Alan Ruck, Mamoudou Athie, and Pamela Reed amongst others.
Since it was released, the film has garnered a rating of over 90 percent on film aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a healthy 87 percent audience score.
