Max Verstappen refused to a film a scene in the new $300,000,000 F1 film starring Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, and Damson Idris.
The world champion has had minimal involvement with the film despite the eagerness from F1 bosses to support the Joseph Kosinski directed movie.
Verstappen also reportedly declined an invite to show up to the Brad Pitt film’s premiere despite several other F1 drivers all showing up, including rival and executive producer on the film, Lewis Hamilton.

This comes amid fans raising a key issue with F1 despite its 86 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The news that Verstappen refused to film a nightclub scene with Pitt for the film was first reported by The Telegraph in a long read about how real F1 drivers view the movie.
They stated of the incident: “Max Verstappen apparently declined to film an extra nightclub scene with Brad Pitt. The four-time world champion also skipped the drivers’ screening in Monaco, and the premiere in New York.”

When asked by Planet F1 about why he had declined attending a screening, the driver said: “I wanted to spend more private time – because it is private time at the end of the day, the evening also.
"I think it’s coming out on June 27 [US release date] so I’ll download it on Apple."
He has yet to comment on reports he declined filming a nightclub scene with Pitt. Verstappen added: "Of course I get it. There was the opportunity to watch it, but if I watch it now or in three or four weeks, that’s fine as well.
"I heard good stuff from the movie, so I’m sure that it’s going to be exciting."
LADbible Group has contacted Verstappen's representatives for comment.
The film has been met with mostly positive responses from critics, with TimeOut saying in their four-star review: “Switch off your brain and F1 will overwhelm your senses with spectacle, sonics and just enough human drama to hold it all together.” Despite this, many have criticised the realism presented in F1.

On the film’s review thread on the official Formula 1 subreddit, the top comment read: “Sonny Hayes [Brad Pitt’s character] might be the biggest terrorist in F1 history. He would've gotten like 5 race bans in a single season.”
Another comment said: “Just got back from the cinema. It's decent with great cinematography. Lots of fun cameos from F1 people.
"My racing-related comments: Sonny Hayes deserves alllll the penalty points. Also, qualifying just...doesn't exist, I guess.”
F1 is available to watch in cinemas now.
