Animators managed to sneak in a very grown up joke

People are only just realising that Pixar managed to sneak in a very adult joke into their hit movie Cars.

The 2006 flick is a firm favourite with youngsters - centring on young hotshot race car Lightning McQueen who, on the way to the most important race of his life, gets stranded in forgotten town Radiator Springs.

You can see the cheeky scene here:

Stuck in Radiator Springs, Lightning soon comes to learn the value of friendship and discovers that winning isn’t everything.

It’s basically the typically heartwarming sort of movie that we’ve come to expect from Pixar - the studio behind Toy Story, Up, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.

However, eagle-eyed fans have just spotted a cheeky adult joke that animators included in the movie that went completely over their heads as kids.

In the scene in question, main character Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) was confronted by two fangirl cars, Mia and Tia, who were super excited to see him.

After introducing themselves, the pair flash their lights at him, which might not sound too bad, but with adult eyes, you soon realise they were doing the car equivalent of lifting their tops and flashing them. I, for one, am shocked.

Sharing the clip on X one shocked fan said: “I was too young, but now I understand why they flashed their lights.”

Another said: “Okay NOW I noticed and I understand. They were literally flashing in public. No wonder the cops pushed them away.”

A third commented: “Bro my childhood just flashed before my eyes, I swear.”

People have said the joke has ‘ruined their childhood’.

While someone else said: “Wow. That clearly went over my head until now. I definitely should have caught that.”

Others said the realisation had ‘ruined their childhoods’ - sorry about that.

Cars isn’t the only seemingly innocent animated movie to include some not-so-innocent jokes.

Shrek fans were left reeling after spotting one scene featuring Lord Farquaad in what appears to be a very grown-up moment.

In the scene, he can be seen reclining in bed with a martini while asking the magic mirror to show him a picture of Princess Fiona, to which the mirror - somewhat reluctantly - obliges.

But if you look closely at the bed sheets, you'll see a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment where a bulge seems to appear as though the villain is just a bit too excited about the thought of the beautiful princess.

Absolute filth.
