Some of Sydney Sweeneys followers appear to have decided that her nude sports betting ad was the last straw and they're not interested in seeing her posts any longer.
She appeared in an ad for Novig where she appeared to be naked and covered up with some strategically positioned bits of sports equipment.
In a statement she released later she said: "The campaign was about embracing a fun idea.
“The concept is simple: cut through the noise and put the focus entirely on sports. The campaign brings that idea to life with confidence, humor and a playful edge.”

It seems that not everyone thinks it's what they want to see as Variety has been keeping count of her Instagram followers since then and according to them while she gained about 50,000 more in the days after the ad she then went on to lose about 200,000.

On the one hand that's a lot of people hitting the unfollow button, on the other hand she's got about 25 million followers so it's really not that many in the grand scheme of things.
Sweeney is probably not worrying about losing that many followers, and since the backlash she received she's shared other clips from the advert so the actor doesn't seem perturbed.
Among those criticising Sweeney was four-time Olympic gold medallist Ariarne Titmus.
She said: "I can’t describe how infuriated I feel when I watch this. How do we live in a world where monetising a woman’s body and sexualising women’s sport is still a thing?"
There was also criticism from Marissa Womack, manager of game day promotions and programming for minor league baseball team the Harrisburg Senators.
She said that her critique wasn't based on jealousy or insecurity of Sweeney, but instead about a 'male-dominated field where we are constantly having to prove why we belong'.

"It's about having passions and joy working in this industry and when the only representation is sexualization, you see less and less young women wanting to pursue this industry!” she added.
The Euphoria star has appeared in adverts where she's not wearing much before, as she has posed for her own lingerie brand Syrn in the past.
It's also not her only controversial advert, as an American Eagle jeans ad she did got quite a backlash.
In the ad she said: “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour. My jeans are blue.”
It got a lot of negative responses which Sweeney said was 'definitely was a surprise', adding that she didn't see most of it because she was filming and had her phone away.
LADbible has contacted Sydney Sweeney's representatives and Novig for comment.
