Rupert Grint has warned fans that his latest film is a far cry from his former roles.
The Essex-born actor is best known for playing the loveable character of Ron Weasley in Harry Potter, but his latest project has a much darker tone.
The 37-year-old is returning to the big screen for the first time since 2013 in Hanna Bergholm's new horror, Nightborn, which made it's debut at this year's Berlin Film Festival.
He stars alongside Finnish actress Seidi Haarla in the flick, which tells the story of a couple who suspect there is 'something terribly wrong' with their newborn son.

The family live in an isolated home in the heart of the Finnish forest, although Nightborn was actually shot in Lithuania.
Take a look at the teaser trailer here:
The synopsis reads: "With dreams of starting a perfect family, Saga and her British husband Jon move to the isolated house where she spent much of her childhood, deep in the Finnish forest.
"But as soon as their baby is born, despite the reassurance of all around her, Saga knows there’s something terribly wrong with her son.
"As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the terrible truth about her newborn."
Grint explained he received the script for Nightborn shortly after finding out he and his girlfriend, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging actress Georgia Groome, were expecting their second child.
"So it was very weird timing," he told Variety. "But it’s kind of life imitating art."

He explained his own experience of parenthood helped him prepare for the role of Jon, who is also quite the 'optimist' despite the strange goings on in Nightborn.
Grint said: "Whatever’s going on I try to make it light. Not panicking and staying calm is definitely something I do."
Despite being somewhat jolly in Nightborn in comparison to his on-screen wife Haarla, the actor warned Harry Potter fans he doesn't emulate the 'warmth' of Ron Weasley in his new movie.
Comparing the two roles, Grint added: "It does go against the warmth of Ron."

Reflecting on his iconic role in the Harry Potter franchise, the father-of-two said he finds it 'insane' that the cast wrapped filming years ago for the final instalment, which was released back in 2011.
"It doesn’t even feel that long ago," he said. "It's nearly 16 years...it’s insane."
However, Grint is glad that he can now enjoy a slower-paced lifestyle, as he acknowledged that the 'Potter years were an absolute constant' - as well as being 'such a fun journey'.
"I love working, but I also just love being at home, hanging out and being a dad," he added. "I’m not ridiculously ambitious."
