Stephen Bear jailed again for 24 weeks after taking selfie on beach in Brazil

Reality TV star Stephen Bear has been locked up again just a week after being jailed for breaching a restraining order and taunting that police 'couldn't catch him'.
The disgraced Ex on the Beach personality has now been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday (14 August).
The 36-year-old had pleaded guilty to five counts of failing to comply with the sex offenders register notification requirements.

Under the rules of his registration requirements following his conviction, he was ordered to tell authorities about foreign travel, Thames Magistrates’ Court heard.
But he had travelled to Brazil on an unauthorised trip, which was discovered when Bear made a series of social media posts from a beach.
Prosecutor Maisa Mamman told the court Bear had posted videos on social media showing him on a beach in Brazil and saying 'the police will not be able to catch' him.
She added: “He posted on social media videos essentially bragging he was in Brazil.”
Bear had not informed police about a trip to Brazil last year and then failed to tell officers within three days that he had returned to the UK. He also did not flag that he had acquired a new passport and two bank cards during his trip.
In his defence, the court heard Bear was not aware of the restrictions at the time and is now clear about what the requirements demand.
Deputy district judge Claire Pithie told Bear the sentence takes immediate effect: “You need to work on your strategies. Otherwise you will keep ending up finding yourself in difficult situations. You have a baby on the way.”
As he walked from the dock, Bear told the judge: “Thank you, have a good day”.
Bear had only spoken at the hearing to confirm his personal details, telling the court his usual address is Walthamstow, east London, but he is currently staying “in Chelmsford”, referring to the prison sentence he was given last week.
The latest sentence comes just a week after Bear was jailed for breaching a restraining order that had been imposed to protect his ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison.
He was previously jailed on 6 August to 16 months after breaching a restraining order by posting about Harrison on his social media.
A court previously heard how, between March and July 2025, Bear had repeatedly posted about Harrison on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube - despite a restraining order that expressly prohibited him from doing so.
The posts formed part of a campaign of abuse in which he made degrading comments about her and encouraged others to also make comments.
The five-year restraining order had been imposed in 2023 after Bear had been found guilty of disclosing private sexual photographs and films of Harrison MBE with intent to cause distress, and voyeurism. At the time, he also received a 21-month prison sentence for his crimes.
Bear also went on to create an online petition seeking support for a retrial and attempting to obtain Harrison’s bank statements. A court was told how he persisted with his online posts despite several of his accounts being shut down due to their content.
After Bear was sentenced on 6 August, Harrison, who waived her anonymity, praised Essex Police. She has repeatedly spoken out after Bear's revenge porn offences against her a number of years ago.
He was previously found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films back in December 2022 after sharing a video to his OnlyFans account without Harrison's knowledge or consent.
She said: "Essex Police took me seriously when so many women in my position are overlooked. They treated this as the serious crime it is – not a celebrity story. It is a real offence against a real person.
“They built the case properly, they stayed with it, and when the order was breached, they acted instead of shrugging. From the messages I get every day, I know how rare that still is. If every force treated this the way Essex Police did, thousands of women would feel safer today.”
