A former Married at First Sight Australia star and beauty influencer has found herself in hot water after social media users lashed out at her mouthing the N-word in a post.

Martha Kalifatidis has now been dropped by global haircare brand GHD after they received complaints over the reality star mouthing the racial slur while Nicki Minaj’s hit song 'Only' played in the background.

“Are you comfortable with a paid [promoter] who (allegedly) says racial slurs and posts it willingly being associated with your brand?” one follower questioned GHD.

The brand, known best for their iconic hair straighteners, said they 'would never condone any offensive or hurtful language', and later revealed they 'will not be partnering with Martha Kalifatdis in any capacity moving forward'.

Since the dumping, Kalifatidis took to social media again to let her followers know she is 'deeply sorry' for any harm caused.

“Towards the end of last week I posted something offensive on my IG stories," she said.

"I was singing along to a song which included a racial slur. I immediately noticed my mistake and I removed the content."

The ex-Married at First Sight Australia star went on to repeatedly apologise for the post.

“I had no intent to hurt anyone - but that doesn’t excuse my actions and I completely accept that it’s wrong. We shall all acknowledge the seriousness of the word," the 33-year-old said.

“I am nothing but deeply sorry. I had no intent to cause anyone harm.

“Again, I’m sorry to any person I’ve offended. I am learning and listening and am treating this experience as a learning curve.”

Kalifatidis added that she 'loves and appreciates every colour'.

Being dumped by one of the world's leading hair brands would come as a significant blow to Kalifatidis.

Since Married at First Sight Australia, the 33-year-old has worked hard to become one of Instagram's top beauty and fashion influencers.

She recently signed a five-figure deal with clothing retailer Pretty Little Thing in November.

She embraces racy fashion trends and even appeared topless on Instagram to demonstrate how to use Aussie breast tape brand Hold.

In the 24 hours following Kalifatidis' post, Hold told news.com.au they saw an enormous spike in purchases.

“When she posted we saw over $15,000 in sales,” Hold founder Mathieu Mariole said.

“We were overwhelmed with the support. It is so exciting to know our product will help so many, especially now that everyone is heading out again.”
