GTA 6 map 'leaked' and it looks absolutely huge

Fans are convinced Rockstar Games accidentally leaked a sneak preview at GTA 6's map and it looks huge

With a full nine months to go until the eagerly anticipated release of GTA 6, fans are desperate to get their hands on more juicy details about the game.

So far, just two trailers and a handful of screenshots have been officially revealed, but that hasn't stopped all the usual leaks and rumours from fuelling the excitement on social media.

One thing we do know is that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City, but Rockstar has kept tight lipped when it comes to the game's full map size.

Earlier this year, the publisher revealed the official names of some of the areas located on the map, including Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga National Park.

However, many eagle eyed fans were more enamoured with the release of what appeared to be an artistic version of GTA 6's map and it looks absolutely huge.

The screenshot shows Brian Heder, one of the game's characters, standing over a desk with the map lying open, with certain areas circled and marked with an X.

Now, one fan has edited the map so it can be seen face on, and it looks even bigger when viewed from the right angle, seemingly confirming all fans hopes.

Taking to the GTA 6 thread on Reddit, NoDevelopment894 wrote: 'Brian Heder's map, flat-ified.'

"May this inspire something - or nothing at all... I did a subpar job at Photoshopping Brian's map artwork (removed hand etc) to be more proportional and 'head on'," they wrote. "What can I say... It looks like a map!"

One impressed Reddit user commented: "This isn't talked about enough. This is legit a 'piece' of the map and it looks amazing!"

Another agreed, writing: "This is the closest we'll get to an official map for a while."

However, not everyone agreed the map was quite as significant as some believe it to be, with one fan claiming 'the artists take liberties with the stylised art.'

"They don't necessarily represent the actual in game details. This is not from in-engine footage or a screenshot," they added.

Meanwhile, the original poster of the 'flat-ified' map said they were inclined to agree after spotting 'the disconnect of roads'.

Others suggested the map could represent a different location entirely given the character of Brian has access to planes.

But that is the mystery of GTA 6, and until Rockstar releases more details, all fans can do is speculate.
