Sometimes when celebrities give you an insight into their home life and it will be some utterly bizarre sh*t.

Whether it be Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox admitting to drinking each other’s blood or the fact that Benny Blanco has seemingly never washed his feet, celebrities can be fairly odd.

Whilst not quite to the bizarre celebrity level of Megan Fox’s blood vial or Benny Blancos disgusting digits, Kaley Cuoco’s admission that her and her fiancée sleep in different rooms raised a lot of eyebrows recently.

The Big Bang Theory star appeared on the Armchair Expert Podcast with Dax Shepherd to promote her new TV show Vanished and spoke about her fiancée Tom Pelphrey.

Pelphrey is an actor himself, having appeared in Ozark, Iron Fist, and Mank.

The pair made headlines just this week after she revealed on The Graham Norton Show that Pelphrey had actually never seen her in The Big Bang Theory and didn’t actually realise she was in it.

The duo’s sleeping arrangement however has also been making headlines, with her explaining why the duo don’t share a room anymore on the podcast.

Cuoco explained that the discussion is partially influenced by the pair’s multiple rescue dogs, two year old daughter Matilda, and ‘totally different sleeping schedules’ making it impossible for Pelphrey to sleep.

She said he told her he ‘couldn’t do this anymore’, supposedly asking: ‘How do you feel if I sleep in that other room?’

Cuoco added: “We do couples therapy and we love it, it's amazing. So he brings this up and at first I'm like, "What will people think?"

The actor went on to add though that he mentioned that they don’t see each other at night and it’s not their ‘sexy time’, so the duo decided to try it.

Cuoco called this a ‘game changer’, adding: “Nothing happens but sleep in those beds.” He kind of explained it, but he's like ‘What are you losing by this?"

“My brain didn't realize it was [about appearances], but I thought, "This doesn't look good.

“We had this like realization, but I didn't know why I thought it was like so looked down upon.

Cuoco added: “It works great for us. We're, like, so much happier.”

She admitted that this may in part be due to her previous divorces, having divorced from Karl Cook in 2022 and Ryan Sweeting in 2016.

Though many raised eyebrows there is actually science behind their decision.

A study in 2025 found that 60% of relationships sleeping separately felt less stressed, with 27% rating their relationship as ‘amazing’ after their ‘sleep divorce’.
