A GTA fan has sparked criticism after flying all the way from the US to Scotland to 'demand answers' from developers.

The content creator, who posts from the handle @backonboulevard, took to TikTok to reveal he'd made the journey because he was 'sick and tired of waiting for answers'.

In the controversial clip, the TikToker announced he was posting live from outside the Rockstar North offices in Edinburgh, telling his followers he 'wasn't playing around'.

The man films himself approaching random employees outside the offices at night, yelling: "When's the delay? When's the next trailer?"

To absolutely no one's surprise, the content creator doesn't get any answers, with one poor unsuspecting staffer shrugging his shoulders before desperately trying to make his escape.

Since posting the video, @backonboulevard has faced criticism from fellow GTA 6 fans who quite rightly point out that Rockstar employees will almost certainly have signed non-disclosure agreements preventing them from revealing any juicy details about the game.

"This guy is messing with probably the most secretive company in the world," one TikTok user commented. "Just see what Take-Two lawyers did to the guy who hacked I-Clips in 2022."

Another added: "Bro, they're in really strict NDAs. Any talk about the game and they [can] be sued."

"This guy is gonna' cause another delay," a third commented, while a fourth added: "Leave these poor people alone, I doubt they even know."

If you're wondering why the content creator flew all the way to Scotland to demand answers - rightly or wrongly -instead of heading to New York, where Rockstar Games' headquarters are based, it's because the main development of GTA 6 is actually taking place here in the UK.

Rockstar comprises a network of studios, including Rockstar North, formerly known as DMA Design, which has a long history of creating the GTA universe.

Despite the intensely realistic US setting of the games, keen-eyed fans will notice frequent references to Scottish towns and a Scottish flag in GTA 5, among other Scottish Easter eggs, as a tribute to the developers.

For GTA 6, Rockstar North is expected to be one of the most significant contributors; however, the development of the game is taking a more collaborative approach, involving studios from all over the world.

Anyway, Rockstar is known for being a highly secretive company when it comes to the development of much-anticipated titles, so it sounds like this TikToker has probably wasted his time. Oh well.
