Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story now has the honour of being the third most-watched original film released by Netflix.

The film is the hotly anticipated sequel to Rian Johnson’s 2019 murder mystery Knives Out.

Daniel Craig returns as master detective Benoit Blanc as he takes on a brand new case, this time revolving around tech millionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) and his closest pals.

Blanc is invited to Bron's Greek island to play a murder mystery game, but it turns out all of Bron's friends are very unlikeable people.

The all-star cast also includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

And we can't forget the number of incredible cameos of famous actors and celebrities.

Following its release just before Christmas, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story has notched 209.4 million hours watched. This huge figure places it ahead of hit films such as The Grey Man and Bird Box.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Story sits comfortably in the top three, behind Don't Look Up and Red Notice.

Don’t Look Up is an environmental satire starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and Meryl Streep.

Released in December 2021 and directed by Adam McKay, the film has garnered 359.8 million hours viewed within its first 28 days on the streaming platform.

The number one film is Red Notice, which was also released in 2021. It holds the record for being the platform's most-watched English language film with 364 million hours viewed in its first month.

The heist thriller stars Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Gal Gadot.

Don't Look Up is one Netflix's most-watched films.

It should come as no surprise that fans immediately begged for a sequel upon its release and considering the popularity of the film, with producers Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia confirming scripts for Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3 are in development.

While fans wait to see if Benoit Blanc will return for another grizzly adventure, one character who has raised eyebrows is Birdie, a clueless former model played by Kate Hudson.

The Almost Famous star said it's hard not to have a soft spot for her character.

Speaking to LADbible about her character, Kate said: "I feel like Birdie is... I feel bad because I think she's just so lost. She's so tone deaf, but she's also so like in some other world."
