Gordon Ramsay Crashed Daughter’s Date With ‘Pathetic’ Ex-Boyfriend
The TV chef did not approve of his daughter's choice of date
Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he crashed his daughter’s date with her ‘pathetic’ ex and has absolutely zero regrets. You can see him talking about it here:
The protective dad was left less than impressed when he discovered his daughter Megan, 22, had started chatting to her ex boyfriend Byron, so he decided to take matters into his own hands to try and put an end to the relationship.
The TV chef appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he confessed to doing something ‘really bad’.
He said: “I did something really bad last week. Megan started seeing her ex-boyfriend again and his name’s Byron.
“He was OK to begin with. A little bit wet. You want a man to date your daughter and he was just a little bit pathetic.” Ouch.
So, Gordon enlisted the help of his other daughter Tilly, 20, to get Byron’s phone number.
He explained: “I kid you not. I found out his telephone number from our youngest daughter, Tilly.
“So she gave me [the number] and said, ‘Dad, don’t do this'. I said. ‘No, just give me the number, in the event anything’s wrong, I need his number on my phone'.”
Sounds fair enough, except that Gordon actually had other plans for poor Byron and his phone number.
He went on to explain that he waited until Megan and Byron were out having dinner when he FaceTimed his daughter’s date.
Kelly asked: “Did your daughter kill you?”
To which, Gordon said: “He sort of answered the phone, this thing was shaking. “I said, ‘Byron, it’s me, not your future father-in-law, you little ****'.”
But the conversation didn’t last very long as Megan quickly realised what was happening and leaned over to shut down the conversation.
Gordon joked: “Megan went over and pushed and cut me off, which was so rude. I was just in the middle of having a proper chat.”
The protective dad then went on to say he just wants the best for his daughters.
This isn’t the first time Gordon has gone into protective-dad mode when it comes to his daughters.
When Tilly, 19, first met her Strictly Come Dancing Partner professional ballroom dancer Nikita Kuzmin, Gordon made sure to introduce himself right from the start.
As Tilly and Nikita got to know each other, Gordon FaceTimed his daughter for a chat.
The teen answered the call and introduced him to Nikita, with Gordon saying: "Congratulations - and good luck to you both."
However, he then appeared to spot what was Nikita was wearing and quickly warned: "Nikita, can you do your shirt up? It's a bit low."
