The third GTA 6 trailer could be days away according to a brand new theory that feels too good to be true.
This week has been quite the week in the world of all things Grand Theft Auto VI, with the reported pre-sale window meant to have started on Monday. Alas, Monday came and went with them still nowhere to be seen as of Wednesday.
We've also got Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, sitting down on Thursday night (21 May) for its Q4 and annual results, in which we should get some brand new information about GTA 6 and the launch campaign that should be coming soon around marketing, pricing, and real pre-order information amid wider scam warnings.
But with copium over the game returning to what feels like a recent high in the gaming community, all eyes are on when we might get that third and final trailer. And the new theory of 23 May feels absolutely perfect.

Bonnie and Clyde, we see you
The story of GTA 6 will focus on two main protagonists, Jason and Lucia, with inspiration for the duo heavily drawn from the infamous crime duo, Bonnie and Clyde.
Unless you've been living under a rock, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were notorious American outlaws.
Across a 21 month period, they robbed and murdered their ways to financial gain until their gruesome end on - you've guessed it - 23 May, 1934.
And Rockstar being Rockstar, it would be no shock if they used such a date as a bit of an easter egg to launch their final trailer for GTA 6 and kick-start the marketing campaign ahead of the 19 November launch date - given there is no third delay.
All eyes on Saturday, then.

'Best theory in ages'
"Not going to lie, that's the best theory in ages," one person wrote over on Reddit.
And to be honest, they're not wrong. It's absolutely on the money and a perfect little subplot to what we can expect from the game. It'd also be a nice nod to the thousands and thousands of people trying to predict what move Rockstar might make next.
A second person posted: "I hope this theory is real because I lowkey think the coolest under-talked aspect about GTA 6 is that it's a Bonnie and Clyde story."
Not everyone is convinced, of course, with a third saying: "And just like Bonnie and Clyde, your hopes for a trailer will die on 23 May as well."
A bit dark, but sure. After all the chaos of the last 12 months, you can understand why some are done with rumours and theories.

How did Bonnie and Clyde die?
After being on the run for almost two years, the couple were ambushed by law enforcement on 23 May, 1934.
They were driving a stolen car along a rural road in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, when a posse of law enforcement officers, led by former Texas Ranger Frank Hamer, lay in wait for them.
As Bonnie and Clyde approached, the officers opened fire without warning. The ambush was extremely brief and intense with around 130 bullets fired in to their car.
Both of them were killed almost instantly.
