The future of GTA 6 looks within our grasps. Especially after Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke openly about its release date and any potential third delay to the largest project in gaming history.
It comes just days after pre-orders were reportedly leaked via a Best Buy affiliate email, telling certain creators about a pre-order campaign running from 18 May to 21 May. YouTuber Frogboyx1Gaming was behind this, showing his viewers his very legit email; an email others also came out on the record to say they had received.
Zelnick, who has been behind the wheel at Take-Two since 2007, subsequently sat down with interviewer David Senra to talk all things GTA 6, Take-Two, and his career as a whole.
And it was during this conversation that Zelnick doubled down on the 19 November, 2026, release date.
Advert
Phew. No third delay after the disappointment of last November's second.
On timeline pressures and when GTA 6 will be released, Senra asked: "How do you deal with this? How do you deal with the timelines? Is the answer to that question, 'I don't know?'"
Responding, Zelnick was to the point, saying: "Right. Well, no. November 19th. I do know. It's been announced.
"I think we're about 18 months behind the original date. Not much more than that."
And at the same time, as reported by our sister page GAMINGbible, the PlayStation store has seemingly updated to show a preview of GTA 6 with 'free delivery'. Pace is gathering, it has to be said.

GTA 6 price leak
Renowned leaker DetectiveSeeds has also taken to social media in recent days to say he has been given the price bands for GTA 6.
In saying this, he said he couldn't reveal the numbers due to how they might impact the market ahead of launch. But he did reveal there will be six different versions of the game for fans wanting to indulge a little more than just the basic option.
"I was given the GTA 6 pricing, bundles, and various structures of ordering the game by the same person who gave me the week of pre orders starting which was correct as highlighted by my leaked DM’s that prove I had the info well over a week ago," he said.
"I am choosing not to put the pricing info out as I was advised this could have market impacts by me doing so. But, I can say there will be six ways of purchasing the game at pre order - three digital / physical which are the usual types of tiers, and then one that is more rare with some stuff, and then two tied with consoles (Pro and Standard) with a digital code for download."

DetectiveSeeds added: "I was told the bundles themselves will not have a physical copy in them."
On the pricing, though, he was asked if the basic release would fall within the price range of $60 to $80 (£45 to £60), to which he said 'yes'.
This will come as a huge relief to many after the worries about a $100 price tag for the game - as well as the pros and cons to that.
