Ever made a joke that didn't quite land? Well, Harry Styles' producer has definitely fallen victim to that - only this time - in front of the entire audience at the Brit Awards.

Viewers can't quite believe the inappropriate comments Kid Harpoon made about fellow nominee Stormzy and Maya Jama. Watch it here:

Styles had a very good night at the Brit Awards last night (February 11) after taking home four trophies.

The 29-year-old won Artist of the Year, Best Pop/RnB Act, Song of the Year and the Mastercard Album of the Year for his hit-album Harry's House.

His team were clearly overjoyed for the singer-songwriter's achievements and were eager to gives their thanks to fans and loved ones in the acceptance speech.

Stanley Tucci presented Styles with the prestigious Mastercard Album of the Year award, who was joined on stage by producer Kid Harpoon.

Harpoon, whose real name is Thomas Hull, has previously received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for his producing work on the pop singer's album.

However, his acceptance speech left viewers and Styles himself cringing over inappropriate comments made about rapper Stormzy and Love Island presenter Jama.

Taking the mic, Harpoon also thanked the audience for 'honouring' them and told Harry he loved him 'like brothers'.

He added: "[I] couldn’t ask for anyone better to do this with, we got this forever."

Just as it was nearing the end, Harpoon then decided to take the speech in a whole different direction.

Viewers found the entire thing totally awkward.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the producer went on to say how he and his wife would later role-play as the recently-broken up couple.

"Also," he began, "my wife Jenny has promised me we are going to pretend to be Maya and Stormzy back in the day tonight."

To make matters even more awkward, the bleeping came in too late as Harpoon looks visibly uncomfortable.

"Turn off the lights…" he concludes just before the sound was cut.

Following Harpoon's comments, Styles was later seen pretending to jokingly hit his producer over the head with the award.

As host Mo Gilligan congratulated the singer's victory, Harpoon can be seen putting his behind behind Styles' back as the two walk off together seemingly laughing at the whole ordeal.

Viewers clearly found the whole thing bizarre, with one Twitter user writing: "Just thinking about that one person saying that they're going to be roleplaying as Stormzy and Maya Jama tonight with their wife and the bleeping being too late."

While another added: "Stormzy really sang the song about Maya Jama with her in the audience, then Kid Harpoon starts talking about roleplaying as them on live TV. I'm losing it at 8am."

"Did Kid Harpoon just say that he and his wife are roleplaying as Stormzy and Maya Jama because uh..." a final posted.
