James Blunt Catches Out Jeremy Vine For Not Listening To His Album

James Blunt Catches Out Jeremy Vine For Not Listening To His Album

The singer noticed the presenter was holding a copy of his album which was still in the packaging

This is the moment James Blunt called out presenter Jeremy Vine for not listening to his album:

The 47-year-old was appearing on Jeremy Vine on 5 at the beginning of this month and noticed that the show's host was holding a copy of his new album which was still in the packaging.

With this, the 'You're Beautiful' singer realised that Vine, 56, hadn't actually listened to his album that he was attempting to promote.

Jeremy began to say his goodbyes as the show was coming to a close and said he 'can't wait to hear' the album - therefore admitting he'd not listened.

With this, James pointed out his findings and said: "I've noticed it's still in the cellophane there. So that means you haven't heard it?"

In response, Vine started to scramble for words: "Ummm, well obviously, I've heard... well I've heard the tracks that were well known 'You're Beautiful' and 'Wise Men'."

James then hit back: "No I noticed and it's great to come on a show where presenters don't know the research. Thanks so much."

Jeremy then seems to look over to the side of him, presumably at the team for direction.

TikToker @jonathan.warner shared the moment on social media which has now been watched over 400,000 times.

Commenting on the incident, one person wrote: "This is a joke between them both. You can tell both of them were in on the joke. James is the biggest wind up."

Another added: "Seems too much like a set up joke. James is one of the funniest people around."

Defending Vine, one said: "Technically he said I can't wait to hear it implying he hasn't heard it."

Someone else referenced the Australian TV host who didn't listen to Adele's new album before interviewing her.

They wrote: "I thought James was making a reference to the reporter who didn’t listen to Adele’s music before interview."
