Jeremy Clarkson has responded to reports which suggested he had been sacked from popular ITV quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Reports indicated that Clarkson might be out of a job after ITV boss Carolyn McCall told Variety there were 'no future commitments' between the broadcaster and Clarkson once the upcoming series of the quiz show was finished.

Taking to Twitter, Clarkson thanked people for their 'kind messages about today's reports' but urged them to 'relax' and said he had 'not been sacked as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'.

An ITV spokesperson previously commented on the matter to LADbible, saying: "As we have said before, ITV has a further series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contractually commissioned, and no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently."

Filming for that next series of Millionaire has already been completed and the episodes will be showing on ITV later in the year with Clarkson still in the host's chair.

The tv presenter explained that he hadn't been sacked from his quiz show job.
