John Barrowman snaps back at claims he 'quit' Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

John Barrowman has taken to social media to speak out following speculation he 'quit' Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 'after 30 minutes'

John Barrowman has taken to social media to speak out following speculation he 'quit' Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 'after 30 minutes'.

The 56-year-old actor, singer and presenter was last seen on our screens on the judging panel of ITV's Dancing on Ice in 2021.

The upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is set to mark his comeback, however, a supposed 'source' recently told The Sun Barrowman had 'quit' the programme not long into the start of filming.

In a post to Twitter, Barrowman responded to an article by the Glasgow Times - of which the headline reads: "Celebrity SAS star John Barrowman 'quits' less than an hour into filming."

Barrowman tweeted: "Watch the show and see the truth stop spreading bulls**t to grab a headline @Glasgow_Times

you have unsubstantiated information and don’t know the facts.

"I would have thought better of a Glasgow publication speaking of one of its own.

"The cast of our series stand by each other. @Channel4 #saswhodareswins."

John Barrowman has taken to Twitter to shut down the speculation.

The Glasgow Times article draws on allegations made by The Sun, with a supposed 'source' telling the outlet Barrowman's 'exit' from the series would 'go down in the show's history as the fastest ever'.

The 'source' said: "They’d all got kitted up in their uniforms and had started filming in New Zealand when he chose to walk out.

"[...] Most of the stars were shocked when after 30 minutes John said he did not want to take part any longer.

"He left pretty much then and there. It was all a bit strange and naturally, the producers who make the show weren’t best impressed to see one of their biggest stars turning on their heel and quitting before an hour was up."

Barrowman also responded to another tweet which said: "And no doubt they have you on an NDA that prevents you from speaking your truth whilst the papers can carry on for months spouting whatever they like. It's disgusting."

The TV star replied: "No NDA I just have respect for @Channel4 the production company and the story they are going to truthfully tell. Jb."

LADbible has contacted The Sun and Glasgow Times for comment.
