John Travolta Stuns Locals By Turning Up In UK Supermarket And Wetherspoons

Unexpected actor in the bagging area!

John Travolta has taken local shoppers by surprise after turning up at a UK supermarket.

Just days after presenting Will Smith with the Best Actor award at the controversial Oscars ceremony, the acting legend stopped by Morrisons in Fakenham, Norfolk on Saturday.

Staff members shared photos online of the encounter with the Pulp Fiction star at the food store, including Gary Middleton, a part-time security guard at the branch.

Middleton spoke to Eastern Daily Press about the chance meeting, saying: “I didn’t even go up to him. He just came up to me and shook my hand. We had a really nice chat.”

The security guard also explained how the actor stayed for an hour to speak to shoppers and other members of staff and had photos taken with onlookers.

Travolta was also recently spotted in a Wetherspoons in the area, The Romany Rye in Dereham.

Staff members at the pub confirmed the sighting, with one of the locals saying: “Meeting John Travolta was unreal; Dereham doesn’t usually play host to some of the most famous Hollywood stars on the planet.

“I feel extremely lucky to have met him as it certainly wasn’t what I expected to experience on a Thursday night out in Dereham,” said Jamie Salter.

Travolta is said to be in the area for the filming of his upcoming movie Paradise City.

Recently, the actor took part in a Pulp Fiction reunion alongside Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson at the Academy Awards, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.
