When it comes to supermarkets, people in the UK all have their favourites.

It could be down to cost, or it could be down to the products on offer - especially if it's something that you've never experienced in your home country, like this TikToker.

Kjordy is from the US and is currently living in the UK, an experience which he shares with others over on his TikTok. And this time, he's relayed the differences between UK and US supermarkets.

Strolling through Sainsbury's, he noted the Smart Shopper devices.

If you're not familiar with these, they basically allow to scan your shopping as you walk around the store. That means when it comes time to pay, you don't have to spend time running items over the scanner, with Kjordy commenting: "There's so much trust in that."

The bakery section also got a shout-out in the video, not so much for the delicious goodies on display, but for how they were being displayed.

Kjordy said: "A lot of them are not covered by anything. If you wanted to, you could legit just grab one and put it in your bag. The fact these pastries are exposed to the elements always grossed me out a bit. But you get used to it."

The sodas he also noted weren't 'radioactive' like the ones in the US, and the produce section was much bigger in the UK, which he says 'shows how much people in Europe and the UK value their vegetables'.

But all of that was small fries compared to the 'GOAT', as he called it.

What was he referring to? The instore Argos, of course!

He gushed: "It's like a mini-Amazon. If there's anything you need, it's 90% in Argos."

To demonstrate to his followers, he searched up a X-Box controller on one of the store's screens. He then explained how it could even be purchased straight away or delivered.

"We need an Argos in the US," he concluded.

Speaking of the US, he also encountered one of his fellow countrymen in the aisles of Sainsbury's.

He asked the woman: "What is the weirdest thing for you at British grocery stores?"

To which she replied: "Squash. They're obsessed with it."

"Yeah, it's a big syrup," Kjordy replied. "You mixed it with water."

The woman continued: "The obsession with sausages. There's a whole section just to sausages."

In the video's comment section, Brits were quick to sing their praises for Argos.

One person said: "I love Argos," while a second also called it 'the goat'.

Though many wanted to reminisce about Argos gone by - namely the huge catalogue.

Someone else commented: "We grew up with the Argos catalogue. We read that thing like it was the manifestation manual and circled what we want for Christmas, ah the good old days."

While another wrote: "You will never know the childhood joy of circling everything you wanted for Christmas in the Argos catalogue...and never getting it."

Sad times. A open air croissant for your troubles?
