In Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit against his former partner Amber Heard, he was represented by his attorneys, Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez, who both belong to the firm Brown Rudnick.
The trial lasted for over six weeks, with the Virginia jury finally siding with Depp, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages. It was clear to see that for both these lawyers, who were influential in Depp's triumph, that the trial was not just a legal success but it also held sentimental value, with Camille Vasquez reportedly murmuring “we won” with tears in her eyes at the news of Depp's victory.

When she spoke outside the Virginia courthouse she once again underlined her affection for Depp, being overjoyed at justice he was given, stating that: The “verdict confirms what we have said from the beginning – that the claims against Johnny Depp are defamatory and unsupported by any evidence”. She also went on to thank the jury for their careful deliberation, going on to further say how honoured she was to be able to assist Mr Depp and that now “the jury has reached its conclusive verdict, it’s time to turn the page and look to the future."
