Fans have declared that Jonah Hill 'is back' after seeing the trailer for You People.

Check out the trailer here:

As if meeting your significant other's parents isn't stressful enough, how about if your families end up knocking heads?

The Netflix film follows Ezra Cohen (Hill) and Amira Mohammed (played by Lauren London) on their whirlwind romance after their 'meet-cute' - if you can call accidentally climbing into someone's car thinking they are your Uber driver that.

With things going so smoothly for the couple, Ezra decides to propose marriage to Amira, which certainly creates some serious bumps in the road when their parents begin to wage a cultural war.

But will their romance triumph despite their family's differences?

The official synopsis reads: "Families and cultures clash when two LA millennials from different backgrounds fall in love and face the ultimate relationship test: meeting the parents."

Alongside Hill and London, the film has an all-star ensemble, including Eddie Murphy, David Duchovny, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Nia Long.

But many people online are especially excited for what Hill is going to bring to the table.

Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy star in You People.

It's no secret that Hill is a terrific comedic performer, he has starred in iconic comedy films such as Superbad, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and 21 Jump Street, to name a few.

But the new trailer has got people thinking that this might be his funniest performance yet.

As one commenter put it simply: "Jonah Hill is back."

Another was looking forward to seeing him in the film, writing: "I can't wait to see "You People" Jonah Hill funny AF."

While a third said that she 'loves the casting', describing Hill as 'one of her favs."

And a fourth said: "Okay, this has me laughing. Jonah asking if there's an ETA on the potatoes gave me a legit lol."

However, many seemed to be excited for the movie in general.

One person wrote: "This is gonna be f***ing hilarious bro omg," while a second said: "I CAN NOT WAIT til “You People” hit @netflix w/my girl @LaurenLondon & Jonah Hill. It’s going to be soo funny!"

A third commented: "I cannot wait to see “you people”! Lauren London, Jonah hill, Yung Miami, & eddieee Murphy. That’s such a random lineup, but I’m here for it."

And someone else included the trailer in their tweet, writing: "What I am excited for this month."

Despite the serious hype for Hill, one viewer is very much looking forward to a potential musical number from one of the stars.

"David Duchovny is gonna be singing in You People? Yes!!"

You People is scheduled to be released on January 27.
