'You People' final kiss between Jonah Hill and Lauren London was CGI, cast member claims

'You People' final kiss between Jonah Hill and Lauren London was CGI, cast member claims

Jonah Hill and Lauren London share a kiss in the film, but questions have been raised over whether or not it actually happened

Before we go on, if you've not seen the movie, this will contain a spoiler.

So you have been warned. Don't go complaining in the comments if we ruin the film for you.

Now that's dealt with, let's crack on.

An on-screen kiss would be pretty nerve-racking, right? Surrounded by loads of cameras, knowing millions of people are gonna see it. You want to make it look convincing.

Well, apparently Jonah Hill and Lauren London didn't have to worry about that for their new film, You People.

The comedy landed on Netflix last month and sees the Superbad star play Ezra Cohen, who sets off on a whirlwind romance with Amira Mohammed (London).

So in love are the couple that Hill's character eventually plucks up the courage to propose to Amira.

However, comedy ensues when their parents finally meet and two worlds collide.

Those of you who've seen the film will know that Ezra and Amira end up tying the knot after all.

And after exchanging their vows, the happy couple then move in for the kiss.

But according to Andrew Schulz, who plays Hill’s character’s Cousin Avi in the flick, the two actors never actually locked lips.

Speaking on his Brilliant Idiots podcast, the comic said that he was pretty surprised when Hill and London didn't kiss on set, and was left wondering how it was going to work.

“I don’t even know if I should share this s**t, but in the final scene, they don’t even kiss,” Schulz claimed. “It’s CGI. Swear to god, son.”

Recalling the day on set, he said: "I’m there, I’m watching the wedding, and I see them go in for the kiss and their faces stop like this far.

"And I’m like, ‘I wonder how they’re going to play that in the movie. Oh, they’re probably just going to cut right there'.

"But in the movie, you could see their faces come close, and then you can see their faces morph a little bit into a fake kiss."

I mean, if you look closely, it looks a bit weird.

And plenty of people seem to agree.

Commenting on Twitter, one viewer said: "Yeah, i caught it when i slowed it down."

While another put: "I said this while i was watching i’m like yo they haven’t kissed the whole movie lol."

LADbible has contacted Netflix for a comment.
